Network 1 Approved to Begin Wireless Program in Dardenne Prairie

Dardenne represents latest project in series of municipal agreements

March 21, 2008: Dardenne Prairie, MO --- Network 1 Communications has announced it will provide subscriber-based wireless Internet service for the entire city of Dardenne Prairie in western St. Charles County. Dardenne Wireless, powered by Network 1, is the latest accomplishment in a campaign to bring a number of cities in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area online with Network 1's wireless network services. Dardenne Prairie signed the wireless Internet agreement with Network 1 after its Board of Aldermen approved the proposal during a meeting on March 19.

"This is truly a win-win situation for Dardenne Prairie and Network 1,” said Mark O'Neal, vice president of business development. "Mayor Fogarty has been working with us for the past several months to help make this agreement a reality. This is a great opportunity for us to offer citywide Internet access to the residents, businesses and city government of Dardenne Prairie."

Mayor Pam Fogarty echoed O'Neal's statement by saying she's wanted wireless service in the city of Dardenne Prairie for some time. "This is terrific that Network 1 is now in our area, especially since the city of O'Fallon is already covered,” she said. "The beauty of this agreement is there are no municipal boundaries. It is an innovative service for residents and business owners throughout the entire area, not just the city of Dardenne Prairie.”

The city of O'Fallon, Mo., was the first city in the country last year to set up a citywide, subscriber-based program with Network 1. Since then, the company has met with other community leaders to develop similar wireless network agreements, including the cities of Cottleville, Crestwood, Florissant, Kirkwood and St. Paul. In addition, the company is currently in negotiations with more than a dozen municipalities across the region.

Subscribers can choose one of three options, all based on connectivity speed and ranging in price from $19.95 to $49.95 per month. Network 1 will offer new subscribers 30 days of free wireless connectivity. Dardenne Prairie residents can call Network 1's customer service hotline at 636-614-1364 for more information. Additional pricing and plan information will be released in the near future.

Deployment and implementation of the Network 1 wireless service will occur over the course of the next several months. Due to the unexpected increase in demand for this service, activation of individual accounts may vary. Activation schedules may also vary depending on the need for installing additional equipment.

The expansion of Network 1's wireless network furthers its mission to provide residents and visitors the ability to access the Internet from any home, business or public area within the city of Dardenne Prairie at affordable rates.

The Network 1 team of executives, engineers and staff are committed to launching the nation's largest municipal wireless network, with its first program established in O'Fallon, Mo., in 2007. Dardenne Wireless, powered by Network 1, combines an easy-to-install, low-cost service with high-quality, proven technology.
